Experience the Magic of Inspired By… and Small Works Fundraiser at Albion Cultural Exchange

This weekend, the Albion Cultural Exchange is the place to be; plan to come and see the Arts Collaborative of Wakefield’s Inspired By… event alongside the Small Works Fundraiser. This blend of art and fundraising provides a fantastic opportunity for art lovers and community members to engage with local talent while supporting a great cause.

Inspired By… is a month-long celebration that shines a spotlight on 30 local artists, giving them a platform to showcase their work and connect with the community. The Small Works Fundraiser allows art enthusiasts to purchase affordable pieces with all proceeds going to PAWS.

There are two great demonstrations slated for this weekend. On Friday night, ACW artist Jacob Bassett will be demonstrating the art of Scraffito. Sgraffito is a decorative art technique that involves carving through a top layer of clay to reveal a contrasting color or layer underneath. The word comes from the Italian sgraffiare, meaning "to scratch". On Saturday, Stephanie Stigliano will demonstrate the art of linoleum block carving and printing. During this hands-on demo, visitors will be able to make a print and take it home.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the magic of Inspired By… and the Small Works Fundraiser. Whether you want to purchase a unique artwork, watch an engaging demonstration, or simply soak in the creative vibe, there is something here for everyone. Immerse yourself in the local art scene, support talented artists, and network with other art lovers. Join us on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM or Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
