Friday night marks your last chance to see "Past Tense" at the Albion Cultural Exchange. The final reception, courtesy of The Savings Bank, is set for April 24, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Arts Collaborative of Wakefield’s art exhibit, fundraiser, and sale has already drawn hundreds of visitors.

During the opening weekend, attendees voted for the Viewers Choice Award. Congratulations to ACW artist Richard Ales, who received the most votes for his watercolor painting, Waiting for the Tide. There was a tie for second place, showcasing the high caliber of art in this exhibition. Lori Del Genis won for her oil painting, You Never Forget Your First Doctor, and Barbara Malek for her quilt, My Wakefield.
The Small Works Fundraiser has sparked considerable public interest, with only a few more sales remaining to secure the ACW Excellence in Art Scholarship Award for a high school student attending art school in the fall. For just $10.00, attendees can select a small artwork to take home, supporting a worthy cause while acquiring unique art. The Past Tense exhibit showcases the quality of the Wakefield High School Visual Arts Program with an incredible display of student work. Visitors have been impressed by not only the quality of work but also the instruction, resources, and materials at WMHSArt, emphasizing the ongoing collaboration between the art department and the ACW at the Albion Cultural Exchange.

Come and support local artists at this delightful gallery located off Main St. This free, family-friendly event on Friday night features four artist vendors: Catherine Grassello with her photography, Elizabeth Wiltshire's mixed media, Kendall Inglese's notecards and prints, and Richard Ales' watercolor paintings, alongside works from 30 local artists.
Experience Past Tense at Albion Cultural Exchange this Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. View the pieces by the Viewer's Choice Award winners, as well as works from all local artists, showcasing over 125 pieces of art, a collection from WHS Art students, and $10.00 artworks in the Small Works Fundraiser. We look forward to seeing you on Friday night.
