The Arts Collaborative of Wakefield (ACW) is delighted to present "ARTOBER," an Art Exhibit, Fundraiser, and Sale at the Albion Cultural Exchange. Open on seven occasions throughout October, ARTOBER showcases a wide variety of media, including drawings, paintings, prints, ceramics, photography, fibers, and mosaics. While hosted by the Arts Collaborative, the event features works by 37 local artists as well as art students from Wakefield High School. The exhibition displays over 100 original pieces of art available for viewing and purchase. This art exhibit and sale is generously sponsored by The Savings Bank.

The Small Works Fundraiser has returned, offering artwork for sale at just $10.00 each. This event is a great chance to acquire unique art pieces while supporting a noble cause. All proceeds will go to PAWS, a volunteer-run, non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights and well-being of domestic animals and wildlife, as well as fostering a greater understanding of animal welfare and rights through education.

On opening night, attendees can enjoy a reception with snacks and drinks, while the ACWPop Up Shop will showcase and offer works for sale by Richard Ales in watercolor, Andy Levine in photography, and ceramics by Jacob Bassett and Kim Polster, exclusively for this evening. Explore the featured artists and find some unique and affordable items for purchase.

The Visual Arts program at Wakefield High School has started the year with great momentum. Despite only being in session for a few weeks, they are ready to showcase an impressive collection of art, highlighting the art department's continuous collaboration with the ACW at the Albion Cultural Exchange. Visitors are amazed by the exceptional teaching, resources, and materials offered at WMHSArt. It's truly inspiring to see the talent and creativity of these young artists.

ARTOBER and 5 x 7 Small Works Fundraiser will be available on Fridays: October 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Saturdays: October 4, 11, and 18 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Albion Cultural Exchange.
