“RESOLUTION,” a group show featuring photographic-based art

Free public reception this Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. 37 Turner St., Salem. “RESOLUTION” features a playful side of photography and Photoshop; the majority of the pieces were created in the last year. Works will include encaustic, collage, mixed media and photography.The gallery walls will show photography by James Bird, Jeff Dykes, Peter Grimshaw, Bill Kelley, My-Linh Kotre, Christine Michelini and Vicki Ryer; Photoshop work by Chris Cuddy; collage by Constance Festo Lafond and Lisa Galperin; assemblage by Ken Riaf; painting by Glenn French; and mixed media by Elise Mankes, Patrick O’Donnell, Jack Walsh and Ray Wengenroth. New to the gallery with this show will be Chris Cuddy, Peter Grim

Quilt Show at the Beebe Estate

The Beebe Estate Gallery is pleased to announce that Laurie M. Thies and her students of Mary Rose’s Quilts & Treasures of Reading, Massachusetts will be the featured artists for the New Year, January 2016. The Beebe show will be open for the following Saturdays January 9, 16, 23, 30, 2016 from 11 am – 3pm. Laurie’s passion for quilting started the Shop in Reading and has helped her students grow and explore the traditional style of quilting along with the modern concepts and fiber arts. The show will featured finished quilts, unfinished tops, small quilted items, fabric dolls and other quilted art pieces. Come browse and inquire about quilt classes, purchase a finished or unfinished quilt,
