Leslie Scott-Lysan

Leslie Scott-Lysan draws inspiration from color and light and nature and every season. Leslie works primarily in oil and acrylic paints and outdoors (en plein air) when the weather is good, as well as in her studio. She is a member of the Concord Art Association (MA), the Reading Art Association (MA), the New Hampshire Plein Air Painters group, Newburyport Art Association (MA), Berkshire Art Association (MA), as well as the Arts Collaborative of Wakefield (MA). Awards, shows, and exhibits include: 2016 Melrose Arts Festival juried exhibitor and silent auction participant; Wakefield Fine Art Exhibition (MA); Concord Art Association 18th Annual Paint the Town Art Auction; Concord Art Association Student/Teacher Exhibition 2014 and 2019; Concord Art Association Members Juried 1: Painting & Sculpture 2015 and 2018; “Nature’s Palette” exhibition with NH Plein Air Artist group at Wolfboro Public Library 2017 (NH); “View of Tuckerman Ravine” selected for 2017 Concord Art calendar; Newburyport Art Association 2018 Fall Members Juried Show, 2018 Fall Members Open Show, 2018 and 2019 8-Cubed shows, 2019 Winter Members Juried show parts one and two, and 2019 New Members Show; exhibits at Beebe Estate 2016, 2017, and 2018 (Melrose, MA); Art Blooms on Albion 2017 and 2018 (Wakefield, MA); paintings shown at Red Jacket Resort (North Conway, NH), Bernerhoff Inn (Bartlett, NH), and Bartlett Inn (Bartlett, NH); and Reading Art Association Fall Art Exhibition 2015 - Award of Excellence. Her en plein air painting of the Pink House (Newbury, MA) appeared in the April 2016 issue of Northshore Magazine and on WCVB-TV’s Chronicle. Leslie’s paintings regularly appear on display and sale at the Bernerhof Inn, in Bartlett, NH; and at the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort, in North Conway, NH. Leslie has studied with Aline Ordman, Emily Passman, Sandy McDermott, Elizabeth Awalt, Barbara Ford Doyle, and Mary Taggart.
