Art Week Wakefield is coming to Wakefield beginning September 30th and continuing on thru until October 9th.  During Art Week Wakefield there will be art on display all around Wakefield.  A complete list of venues can be found at website.

During Art Week Wakefield, display locations will be featured on the Albion Cultural Exchange Website & Facebook page.  Members of the public are encouraged to visit locations around town to see the Art Work in person and patronize the local businesses hosting the art.

The highlight of Art Week Wakefield, will be an Artist Registration & Reception Event at the Albion Cultural Exchange. Arts Collaborative of Wakefield members will have work on display in several different styles and there will be light snacks and refreshments.  The event will take place during the October edition of First Thursday Downtown on October 6th from 5 to 8pm.  Local Artists are encourage to come to the event and meet other artists and get registered with the Arts Collaborative of Wakefield.  Registration is FREE and each artists will be able to provide a bio, website link and up to 5 photos to be included in their online profile in the local artist directory.

"We are excited to get local artists registered with the Arts Collaborative of Wakefield at the Albion Cultural Exchange" said Kathy Frey who is a member of both groups.  "It is really exciting to see the explosive growth of the Wakefield Art Scene" she continued.

Members of the public and local artists are encourage to attend and mix and mingle. at the Albion Cultural Exchange on Thursday October 6th from 5 to 8pm.

The Arts Collaborative of Wakefield will host their Spring Art Show and Sale at the Americal Civic Center on April 7 & 8 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Heritage Room. 

On April 7th the ACW show is paired with the Wakefield Schools annual Visual Arts Night. 

On April 8th the Art Collaborative host a closing reception without the public schools.

It's exciting to have both events occur at the same time in the same building.   The school portion is in the Drill Hall and the ACW portion is in the Heritage Room.

of every month at 7:00pm at the

Albion Cultural Exchange. Come to the meeting to see what it's all about.
