The Albion Cultural Exchange will host our 2nd annual Art Blooms on Albion, a visual art experience celebrating flowers, the garden, and all things that bloom on Thursday, April 5th from 6-8pm, Friday April 6th from 6-8pm and Saturday, April 7th from 10-1pm.
Each day Wakefield Co-operative Bank will be sponsoring a flower crown making station. There will be demos and art, home decor, and plants for sale.

ART & EDIBLES REGISTRATION FORM

The Stoneham Public Library announced that it will host an exhibit by portrait artist Lori Del Genis during December.

The exhibit showcases the artist’s rendition of an array of subjects. The portraits include literary and theatrical figures as well as other subjects. The artist will also feature pets.

“We love to look at faces, from the very beginning of our lives,” said Del Genis. “What we see can comfort and inspire us.”

Del Genis said she is self-taught and continues to learn, and that her work aims to capture on paper “the emotions and expressions of faces we love, especially faces that are no longer with us. I understood my mission when a grieving mother told me that when she looked at the portrait I’d created of her late son, it felt like he was always with her. I knew then that I’d done what I’d set out to do.”

ACW will not have a regular meeting in December and instead will celebrate the holidays and enjoy each other’s company. If you’d like, please bring a snack and a beverage to share. The meeting is open to members and non-members, friends, spouses, etc. Hope to you there!

The Albion Cultural Exchange (ACE) and Friends of Lake Quannapowitt (FOLQ) are excited to announce a new working partnership, beginning with an art show celebrating Wakefield’s prize jewel, our beloved “Lake Q.” Together, ACE and FOLQ will host and sponsor a Lake Quannapowitt Photo Night in Downtown Wakefield on First Thursday December 7 at the ACE Center from 6pm - 9pm. The art show and reception will feature photography, paintings, and other mediums, that capture the magic of Lake Quannapowitt.

Mary Rees Gould the Executive Director of Creative Arts is inviting artists to a Life Drawing Class on Wednesday 12/20 (7p-9:30p)  

Registration is by request through the CA office only, however, if you have personal artist friends who would take this class, please invite them to sign up. Online registration link for
