Marsy Sumner
I am a fiber artist from Woburn, MA working with vintage and reclaimed fabrics to create collages. I add stitching, charms, found objects, scraps from other old projects, sequins and buttons to create small works of art. Most are framed in found wooden boxes.
I enjoy working with these reclaimed items - giving new life to the treasures that were once loved, but have been stored in attics and hidden in boxes. It's a reminder to enjoy the things we love, and not just save them!
I am also likely to be found working on other fiber arts including handweaving, knitting, embroidery and any other thing that catches my fancy!
