Laurie Schmidt
Retired veteran art teacher, currently working in a range of art and fine craft mediation.
I was born and raised in Melrose, and received degrees from the Mass. College of art and Rhode Island School of Design. I worked as a full time art teacher for 36 years, in Maine, and then Massachusetts.
I currently live in Melrose and maintain an art studio in my home.
Through the years, I have enjoyed exploring a wide range of art and craft media. I am proud to present my work locally.
Also, I am devoted to my family, including my terrier mix dog, Hoshi. Hoshi and I are quite fond of taking long walks in the beautiful woodsy places in the Melrose-Wakefield area.
