I have always been fascinated and beguiled by the natural world. As a child, I loved drawing animals, trying to capture expressions and behavior in my doodles. Now that I’ve retired from a dual career in editing popular field science and in dog training, I’ve returned to my childhood passion, this time exploring the natural world through the digital one. I’m focusing on creating pet portraits, based on photographs. I feel that an animal’s eyes are the windows to its world, one that, with luck, we can peek into. I seek to express not only each animal’s unique personality but also to encourage viewers to see our companions in a different light. I’m at the beginning of this journey and am enjoying daily discoveries.
